Hello families,
All of this information was also sent in an email.
I hope all is well with all of our ETES families, and that you, and all of your loved ones, are healthy. Below are the plans for next week's remote learning.
I miss all of my students, their smiles, their giggles, their hugs...it feeds my soul daily and I am a bit untethered without them. I am eager to see all of them again, but who knows when that will be available to us all. So, I would like to give the kids a chance to see eachother in a virtual classroom through google meet. The district has informed us that we are not to use Zoom, because it has security concerns. Google meet will be our platform to interact with classmates live. I have scheduled this get together/meeting for Wednesday, 5/6 at 1:00. There is no pressure to attend this 'meeting'. I know that many families have busy parents (and computers) so may be unavailable at that time. I am told that smartphones have the capability to use google classroom also. As we go along I will try to vary the day and time in order to include as many as possible. Feel free to let me know what day/time might be best for you.
Also, many families have not yet joined our google classroom. The easiest way to join our google meet will be through our google classroom. Miss Crugnale and I will give a 'shout-out' on our Weebly page to anyone who has joined. We be reaching out via phone calls beginning Monday, to those families to offer 'live support' in helping you and your child navigate joining our google classroom. I've attached a step by step guide for joining our google classroom including our class code. You will only need to do this one time, then many kids will be able to navigate joining a google meet all by themselves.
A few notes about packets...They will generally be available AFTER 10:45 on the Fridays that the new packet is released. The release dates are: May 1, 15, 29, and June 12. If you go to a 24/7 site and there are no more packets left, know that they are refilled daily (on weekdays only) after 10:45. So if you go on a Saturday morning and there are no more in the tote, you'll have to wait until after 10:45 on Monday to return. I expect the release dates to be the highest demand.
Finally, as always please let me know if you need help with anything. I am worried about all of my students and their families. If you have a need, or any questions at all, please reach out.
The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend, please get outside and enjoy!!
